Carmel Galvin is chief human resources officer and senior vice president of People & Places at Autodesk. She is responsible for leading the company’s efforts to attract, develop, and retain the best talent. In addition, Galvin oversees corporate real estate, travel, and safety & security. Galvin has served a pivotal role in helping Autodesk establish a strong global culture in support of the company’s transformation and long-term business objectives. In addition to her efforts and impact within the company, she has engaged with a select group of Autodesk’s strategic customers to share her insights on how a defined and effectively operationalized corporate culture can support and accelerate digital transformation. Prior to joining Autodesk in 2018, Galvin was the chief human resources officer of Glassdoor. She brings 25 years of human resources experience at global companies including Deloitte, Advent Software, and MSCI Barra Inc. A native of Ireland, Galvin received her bachelor’s degree in political science and business from Trinity College Dublin and master’s degree in Business Studies at the University College Dublin’s Smurfit School of Business.
